Stakeholder mapping and needs analysis report

The Stakeholder Mapping and Needs Analysis Report was developed within WP2 of the SUMED project as a foundational result supporting the redesign of media education curricula in line with sustainability principles. The report is based on a structured collection of qualitative interviews conducted with representatives of the media sector, creative industries, freelancers, and institutional stakeholders.

 

Curricula (re)design proposals

The Curricula (re)design proposals were developed within WP2 of the SUMED project to support higher education institutions in integrating sustainability into media-related study programmes. The objective was to embed environmental responsibility, ethics, and occupational well-being into journalism, communication, film, marketing, and media curricula.

 

Learning Environment Blueprints

The Learning Environment Blueprints were developed within WP2 of the SUMED project to support higher education institutions in creating practice-based media learning environments that integrate sustainability, ethics, and occupational well-being. The blueprints define roles, processes, and sustainable working methods reflecting real media sector conditions.

 

Local teacher training reports

This result summarises the outcomes of WP3 – New Excellence for Teachers, aimed at strengthening higher education teachers’ competences in sustainable media education. Its objective was to support teachers in integrating sustainability, ethical media practices, occupational well-being, and environmental responsibility into their teaching.

 

Pilot courses

The Pilot Courses were developed and implemented within WP4 of the SUMED project to test redesigned curricula and sustainability-based teaching approaches in real higher education settings. The courses covered different media fields, including journalism, video production, communication, and digital media.

 

Pilot Learning Materials combined pt.1

Pilot Learning Materials include teaching and learning resources developed and used within the WP4 pilot courses of the SUMED project.

 

Pilot Learning Materials combined pt.2

The materials support topics such as sustainable media production, ethical communication, environmental impact measurement, and occupational well-being.

 

Pilot Learning Materials combined pt.3

The Pilot learning materials consist of presentations, theoretical contexts, learning tasks, assignments and supporting materials for students and teachers, focused on sustainable media practices.

 

Pilot Learning Materials combined pt.4

Pilot Learning Materials were applied in real pilot learning environments and are linked to curriculum redesign (WP2), teacher training (WP3), and open educational resources developed in WP5.

 

Pilots implementation report

The Pilots Implementation Report was developed within WP4 of the SUMED project to document and assess the implementation of pilot courses and pilot learning environments focused on sustainable media education. The report summarises the scope, methods, and outcomes of 11 pilot courses and 7 learning environment pilots carried out across partner institutions.

 

INNOCAMP.PL pilot report

The INNOCAMP.PL Pilot Report was developed within WP4 of the SUMED project and documents the implementation of a pilot focused on sustainability in journalism and public communication. The report presents findings from focus group interviews conducted with media professionals, journalists, and PR specialists, addressing social sustainability, work-related well-being, and the impact of changing media formats.

 

Dissemination plan

This document outlines how the SUMED project results on sustainable media education are communicated and made accessible to higher education teachers, students, media professionals, HEIs, and stakeholders. It defines the tools, target groups, activities, and timeline for effective dissemination at institutional, national,

and European levels.

 

Experiences from the implementation of the international SUMED project

The dynamically changing media environment, encompassing modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, and new modes of communication, raises questions about the relevance of teaching methods in professions connected to the media, particularly in synergy with the goals of sustainable development.

 

Dissemination materials

The Dissemination materials result was developed within WP5 of the SUMED project to ensure wide visibility, accessibility, and uptake of project outcomes at institutional, national, and international levels. Its objective was to communicate the project’s aims, activities, and results to higher education institutions, media professionals, students, and the wider public.
